INTRODUCTION TO THE QUALIFICATION

While the certificate can be pursued independently, it is linked to the skills and knowledge needed to become an Apprenticeship Standard Lead Adult Care Worker. It can be used for a range of positions, such as lead personal assistant and adult care worker below lead.

QUALIFICATION PURPOSE

The credential enhances the competence, knowledge, and abilities of students operating in a variety of capacities within the health and social care sector. For assessments to be conducted, learners must be employed or engaged in volunteer activities.

The credential is intended to help students advance to a higher level credential in the same subject area and to support a role in the workplace.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Although there are no set prerequisites for admission, students should be proficient in reading and numeracy at least to level two, or the equivalent. The qualification is appropriate for students who are at least 16 years old.

Achieving success allows students to advance to further certifications like:

Adult Care Level 4 Diploma

The TQUK Level 5 Diploma in Adult Care Leadership and Management (RQF)

Leading and Managing Services to Support End-of-Life and Significant Care: TQUK Level 5 Certificate

Events in Life (RQF)

STRUCTURE

Students must complete all required and elective units to gain a minimum of 58 credits (580 hours total qualification time) in all. Level 3 or higher must account for more than 50% of the credit (i.e. 30 credits) Required courses
