Entry requirements
In order to be eligible for admission to the OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Business Management program, students need to have:
An appropriate NQF, QCF, or RQF Level 3 Award or Diploma, or a GCE, GCSE, or comparable qualification
mature students (over 21) with management experience (students must confirm this with the delivery center before signing up for the course).
At the start of the course, the student must be at least eighteen years old.

Comparabilities
At RQF Level 4, OTHM certifications stand for practical knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies that are evaluated academically as being comparable to Year 1 of a three-year UK bachelor’s degree program and Higher National Certificates (HNC).
Qualification structure
The OTHM Level 4 Diploma in Business Management requires completion of 480 Guided Learning Hours (GLH), 1200 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT), and 6 required units totaling 120 credits to be awarded.

The qualification can be completed part-time or remotely, and it is flexible enough to be given over the course of an academic year for full-time study.
Only authorized centers offer in-person, remote, online, tutorial, and seminar delivery options for this qualification.
Assessment and verification
The center itself evaluates each unit for this qualification, and OTHM conducts an external verification. The accomplishment of all the required learning outcomes is the basis for the criteria-referenced qualifications.
In order to receive a “pass” for a unit, students need to show that they have met all requirements set forth by all assessment criteria and have accomplished all learning outcomes. The Assessor determines whether or not the learners have satisfactorily met the assessment criteria.
An audit trail outlining the process used to determine the learners’ overall achievement should be provided by the assessor.
Progression
Learners who successfully complete the Level 4 Diploma in Business Management are eligible to advance to the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Business Management, among other academic programs. With this certificate, students can enter Year 2 of a three-year UK bachelor’s degree program directly, as it is approved and governed by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).
